ALMA and ATP Host "A Photographic Journey of Armenia's Natural Treasures," A Juried Exhibition on Armenia's Evolving Environment
The Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) and Armenia Tree Project (ATP) invite entries for their joint juried exhibition. ALMA and ATP seek a broad range of photography, including traditional and nontraditional approaches to photographing Armenia's evolving environment. The works selected by the exhibit's jurors will be showcased in a joint exhibit. The purpose of the month-long exhibition is to explore elements of Armenia's natural history by exposing audiences to images rarely seen by most Diasporans and to encourage respect and concern for the fate of Armenia's environment.

ATP Exceeds 2007 Pledge to UN Billion Tree CampaignThis has been a year of significant achievements for ATP in community tree planting, large-scale reforestation, nursery expansion, and community development programs. In 2007, ATP planted over 535,000 trees at 174 sites throughout Armenia, fulfilling its pledge to the worldwide campaign launched by the United Nations Environment Programme. As part of the “Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign,” ATP pledged to plant at least 500,000 trees in 2007, as part of Armenia’s contribution to the UNEP goal to plant at least one billion trees worldwide during 2007.
